منظور از مبادي تاريخ ، زمان وقوع حادثه اي است كه ملتي آن را براي خود مبدا قرار داده و زمان را با آن مي سنجند. شمسي به قمري Solar to lunar  

براي تبديل سال شمسي به قمري آن را در 11 (اختلاف بين روزهاي شمسي و قمري) ضرب كرده حاصل ضرب را به 354 (تعداد روزهاي سال قمري) تقسيم مي كنيم. شمسي به ميلادي Solar to AD

براي تشخيص آنكه هر سال با كداميك از اين سالها مطابقت دارد از سال خورشيدي عدد 6 را كم كنيد.
